What was your initial reaction to your big win?
I ran into my roommate's bedroom and said, 'I did it again. I hit the jackpot!' and she said, half asleep, 'No, are you sure? No way.' I said, 'Yes way, I did it again.' When I hit my first jackpot, I kind of sat there for a second and couldn't believe it. My roommate was in bed then too. I ran into her room with my arms waving like a chicken saying, 'I won, I won!'
How do you plan on spending your winnings?
After my first win, I paid off my truck, paid my sister back, paid off a loan for a friend of mine, and bought some clothes. This time I will donate money to the animal organizations that need monetary support, as well as the Cancer Society and the MS Society. I would also like to take a trip, purchase my own slot machine, and help some other friends that are going through rough times right now like I was a year ago.
What advice do you have for others?
I tell myself if it's my time to win, then it's my time. If you start out on something and have a good feeling about it then stay with it. Where you're at is where you're supposed to be.
What do you do for good luck?
I wear a lucky green outback hat and whine a little when I don't hit anything.
What is your dream holiday destination?
I've always wanted to go to the Bahamas or Jamaica. A trip to Ireland or Germany to tour some old castles would also be very nice. If I encounter a few ghosts, it would be even better...
What do you like to do in your spare time?
I am medically retired, so I can't do a lot of things that I used to really enjoy. I have taken an interest in golf and played my first game this summer. I also enjoy doing leatherwork and woodwork.
What 3 things would you take with you on a deserted island?
Hard question. I would take my cats and roommate. If I were stranded, I guess I wouldn't have a choice as to what to take.
Is there anything else you would like to tell us about yourself?
I am a single, 48 year old retiree. My family is spread out all over the states, in Ohio, Georgia, Colorado, and South Carolina.
