What did you do when you realized you had hit the jackpot and who did you tell first?
I had a good day at work and was looking around for something to do and decided to play a little, because when I checked it out the jackpot was really high, and I was playing for about 40 min. when I hit it and went into shock. I just sat in shock and looked at it and couldn't believe it. The first thing I thought about was how am I going to tell my husband. We have kind of a different schedule, he works days and I work nights so we get together only on the weekends. So I decided to wait for the weekend. I told him in person, and showed him the screen I saved. It is quite exciting, I've never won anything like this before. I saved the screen and showed it to my husband. I have a friend that has a camcorder and we are going to record it so that I could start playing again.
I told my two sons (one is 27 and the other one 23), and just my very close friends.
How will this win help you out?
We have decided to pay off bills and a little bit of remodeling around the house, which is something we wanted to do for a long time now. We are also thinking of a summer vacation to the Southwest, and decided to take a train trip down there instead of flying or driving. I love train rides, this way we could see more of the country and enjoy the view and the trip. On the train you can just sit and relax, we love the train.
Where would you dream on going for vacation?
I've always wanted to go on a Caribbean cruise. We have been married for 28 years, so actually, anywhere my husband could come with me I will be happy.
What's your favorite Casino game?
Cash Splash, and basically the slots. The progressives are really exciting! When someone hits the jackpot and I see it close down, I always wonder who might that be. This time it was me! So it can happen.
Do you have any advice for other players?
When you are playing don't always expect to be a winner. It is a lot of fun, but you always have to keep in mind that you cannot expect to be a winner every time. Never spend more money than you can afford.
