How did you react when you realized you'd hit the jackpot?
I am always tickled when 1 Cash Splash comes up but then the 2nd hit and suddenly a screen came up that said 'Congratulations' and it hit me that I had actually won! I yelled at Hank (my sweetie) 'Hey! I hit the jackpot!' Poor fellow was asleep but got up to make sure I was ok. I was bee-bopping around the house repeating 'yes, yes,yes!!!' over to myself, in disbelief of course. I then looked for my digital camera so I could take a picture of the cmputer screen for memory's sake and to prove to my friends it actually does happen. Well, my daughter had my camera at her house so I made her get out of bed and bring it to me. I was not touching that screen until I had a photo. She came with her son in tow who is 13. He wanted to see for himself. It was probably 12:30am by then and I had to go to work at 5:00am (before going to school), but I couldn't sleep. So, I came back in and played until 1:30am and I had unwound enough to sleep.
What do you plan on doing with your winnings?
I owe so many bills it won't take long for $5,000 to be gone. There is a lien on my home for $12,000 but they agreed to accept $2,000 and drop the lien. Then I will pay one of my many old tax bills in full. After that I will catch up on some of my regular bills and it will be all gone.
What advice do you have for others?
Just remember - there is always tomorrow..
What do you do for good luck?
We make our own luck - just look for the best and deal with whatever less happens.
What is your dream holiday destination?
I would love to go to Europe.
Can you share with us a little more about yourself?
I work two jobs and go to school - all my time is occupied. I have a significant other, 3 grown children and 8 grandchildren. If I had won more I could think of a lot to do with it. I am just happy with my $5,234.92!
