Texas Hold'em, Anyone? The Fairmont Southhampton Bermuda To Partner With World Poker Tour Events.
Kenny Rogers sang about poker, "If you're gonna play the game, boy (and girl), ya gotta learn to play it right." Mike Sexton,
internationally known as the "Ambassador of Poker," teaches it for three poker, golf and spa-filled days and nights February 8-11,
2007, at Bermuda's Fairmont Southampton during the hotel's Poker in Paradise with WPT Events™ getaway package. This will be the first
time that WPT Events - the events division of the WORLD POKER TOUR® (WPT) - has partnered with a hotel company on such a program.
The nearly all-inclusive package rate that starts at $999 per person, double occupancy, includes three nights accommodation and most
meals, including a welcome reception and dinner with Host Sexton and a final evening Player Buffet from 11 pm to 1 am Guests
receive a poker tutorial with Sexton, one three-hour session of Pick up Poker (other games optional), a WPT Events Texas Hold'Em
Tournament, one golf clinic at The Fairmont Southampton Golf Course and more. For an extra fee, daily spa treatments can be included.
The package also includes taxes, gratuities and program fees. Alcohol not included.
Sexton is a European poker champion and a World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner who is in the top 10 for all-time money
finishes at the WSOP. His tournament winnings total over $3 million. Along with host partner Vince Van Patten, Sexton is a spokesman
and commentator for the WPT which airs at 9 p.m. EST Wednesdays on the Travel Channel.
The lucky winner of the tournament will receive a grand prize of a seven-night stay, plus roundtrip air for two, at The Fairmont
Monte Carlo nestled in the heart of Monaco and home to the Sun Casino. Second place is a five-night stay, plus roundtrip air for
two, in a luxurious Casita at The Fairmont Scottsdale Princess. And third place is a five-night stay, plus roundtrip air for two,
