49er Online Casino Closes Its Virtual Doors To US Players On April 23.

49er casino 150 Online casino players have been advised by RTG-powered 49er online casino that it will be closing its doors to US-based players with effect from April 23, 2007. Several other RTG Internet casinos (King Solomon's and Geisha LOunge) have already announced that they stop servicing US residents.

The notification, from marketing company Focal Click, advises addressees: "With the recent changes in the industry in the last few months, it has become increasingly difficult to effectively process financial transactions to 49er's valued US customers."

49er casino accounts will remain active till April 23, 2007. The customers (players) are free to continue to enjoy their favourite games until that date, after which any available balance players have on their accounts will be processed and sent to them via check beginning April 30th.

"It would be in your best interest to remove any 49erCasino.com links you have on your site immediately, as the ability to register a new account at 49er is not possible as of today, April 10, 2007," said the representative of Peak Entertainment, the company that operates 49er online casino and 2 other casinos and poker room.

The communication notes, however that 49er and its sister venues Sun Poker, Omni Casino and CS casino (former name: the Sands of the Caribbean) will be closing only to US and Turkish business, continuing to serve players in other countries around the World.

49er, originally registered to the Peak Entertainment group and powered by Cryptologic, underwent a software change and a revamp in February 2006. Other members of Peak's group feature award-winning Cryptologic software. The Sands and Omni casinos stopped servicing US customers on October 13, when the Unlawful Internet Gambline Act was signed by the US president.

As Neteller and Click2Pay leaved U.S. market at the beginning of this year it is really hard to find effective payment options for American players right now. The only alternative is probably Europe-based ECO card but transaction fees are very high.
