Harrah's Cleans Up In Gambling Awards By Casino Player Magazine.

Casino Player Magazine has released the results of their "The Best of Gaming" survey for 2006. Harrah's Entertainment has fared well in the recent Best of Gaming Awards, Bellagio in second winning in "Best Overall Hotel" and "Best High-Limit Players Lounge" categories.

Harrah's Entertainment won a total of 562 awards in the magazine's 2006 poll and achieved first-place prizes in 228 of the categories.

Gary Loveman, Harrah's Entertainment spokesman, said: "These awards represent the collective voice of gaming customers from coast-to-coast. Once again they have overwhelmingly selected our brands and our properties as the best the industry has to offer."

Recent performances from Elton John and Celine Dion helped Harrah to win the accolade for the best casino headline acts, among many other categories.

Harrah's also took the plaudits for best overall casino with Caesar's Palace, luckiest casino with the Rio and best casino promotions with Harrah's Las Vegas.

Despite having won a number of prizes over the seven-year history of the awards, 2006 marks the first time Harrah's has won the prize for best overall casino.
